Our local Library can be a great source of good information. Check out the computers, free book exchanges, share walls, free local newspapers, coupon exchange, book clubs, holiday promotions with coffee and treats, free maps and guides to local events, a world of information, most for free. When you have time explore your local library...

Senior Property Tax Exemption....

Most counties offer Senior Property tax exemptions to income and age qualified senior citizens. Don't be afraid to make the call to your local tax authority...they can and will help with different programs. Usually easy forms to fill out and file..the amounts will vary by county. New programs are added regularly.

Free shipping online the day after Thanksgiving.

Please remember that so many online retailers will be offering free shipping the day after Thanksgiving. This is a good deal and even if you do not see it advertised, just ask. It can save on every online purchase. Happy shopping!

So many early deals, sales and bargains for the upcoming Holidays...Wow...Seniors, ask for those discounts in retail stores online or in person. The big box stores are offering great savings. Online please check for those extra coupon codes and free shipping codes...Happy shopping Senior citizens.

Senior Discounts, 55 plus...

When you contact or shop at any business in person or online..be sure to ask for your senior discount. Many stores do not advertise a "Senior Discount", but do actually offer one. Also, you can request coupon codes online...Available information on your favorite search engines.

Farmers Market Food Vouchers...

Many states have extra food vouchers for 62 years and older if you income qualify. The coupons can be used at roadside stands, farmers markets and other similar venues. They are a great way to support local merchants and farmers. Get good and quality produce with reasonable prices. Check your state online to see if you qualify. Plus some great conversations about your local farm areas.

Military Discounts..

Military Discounts are available for 10%-15% with valid id...at participating retailers, restaurants, hotels, rental car agencies, etc.  Just check online or a quick phone call..just ask even if it is not posted. Online also, ask first to see what the value is.

Country Fairs...

Most Country Fairs and Festival have good Senior discounts, or even a free day. Just be sure to call in advance for ticket prices. Some even start at 50, 55, 60, 62...years young. Enjoy these great sources of entertainment.

Drug store Discounts...

Some of our leading Drug Stores have great senior discounts...certain days... Call in advance to get the amount of discount and on what day. I use these myself and they do work. Check out online also. Great finds and prices. Be sure to check the clearance isles too...Happy shopping.

Senior nutrition...

Free or minimal cost Senior nutrition meals are available at community or senior centers along with free blood pressure checks, free information packets for all senior services. Please check out the displays at your local senior centers. And always ask for any senior help, as it could be very rewarding.

Senior discounts online are very easy....they may not be advertised, but are available. A quick email or telephone call can yield huge rewards. Most will give a coupon code...amounts will vary. Just be sure to check in advance. Happy rewards.

Free online coupons are easy to find and print. They really are a good source for all senior shopping. Especially food items.... local libraries also have wonderful printers to use for a small charge. Do a search for any type of coupon.  There is a good chance you can find the type of coupon you need online.

Free Lunches....

Many communities have free lunches for Seniors based in a church or community centers...good place to eat, socialize and share information. Good times. Check online or local community newspaper.

Movie Theaters, Community Theaters, Sports Venues....

Many Movie theaters, Community theaters, Sport Venues, Airlines, Hotel and car rental agencies have some sort of senior discounts or rewards programs. Some start at age 55 and older. Have identification ready and don't be afraid to ask... you might just find a pleasant discount!

For customers 60 plus, Great Clips Hair Salons offer a $3.00 discount off a regular haircut. Call to verify.

Fred Meyer Grocery Stores

Fred Meyer stores offer a 10% discount on the first tuesday of the month to seniors 55 plus. Some restrictions apply so check with your local store.

Burger King Senior Discount

Burger King gives a .50cent coffee and soft drinks to seniors. Varies by location and participation.Check local store.

Oroweat Bakery Outlet Stores

Oroweat Bakery Outlet stores offer  a 10% discount to those over 55 years. Free punch card for free products with purchase.

Art Walks

Most communities have a monthly Art Walk, with Free admission to art galleries, museums etc. Free for seniors and everyone.

Local Movie Theaters

Most local movie theaters offer great discounts for seniors. Just be sure to call ahead for ticket information or check the local website. Age requirements vary.

Community Website

Most communities have their own websites, local listings of free events can be found easily. Parades, festivals, craft events, music festivals are often free for all ages. Usually listed on a monthly schedule.

A community Library can be a wonderful source for events and activities for all ages. Read great newspapers ,magazines and even computer use is free. Check out your local library for a list of events

Every tuesday at Faith in Action community stores, they offer their merchandise for half off.(some restrictions apply) please check with your local store. Very reasonable.

Local grocery stores are offering 75% off on all holiday items...a good deal...check you local supermarkets...as of today...
